We are the Managers of Bulging Wallet Portfolios.MackHouse Capital is the manager for the Bulging Wallet portfolios and is an independent registered investment advisory firm located in Clarksville, Indiana. We are registered in both the state of Indiana and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. We specialize in providing investment and wealth management services to individuals, families, and institutions. The principals of the firm have over 35 years of investment management experience.
We are a fee only investment advisor. Therefore, the client pays the fees, in arrears monthly, to us. We do not receive any commissions or compensation from the recommendations, buy or sell, of financial products. By doing so we eliminate any conflict of interest and can remain completely objective in the advice we provide our clients.

Jay House
Managing Partner
& Chief Investment Officer
Jay serves as the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of MackHouse Capital, which he founded in 2007. His chief responsibility is defining the investment strategies for our clients as well as managing the Bulging Wallet Investment portfolios.
Jay facilitates meetings with clients, manages individual accounts and researches innovative solutions to meet our clients’ needs and goals.
Prior to founding MackHouse Capital, Jay was Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager with Fifth Third Bank where he managed personal investments, trust, retirement and institutional assets.
Jay began his career in the investment industry in 1985 at Raffensperger, Hughes & Co., Inc. in Indianapolis, IN as an equities trader and market-maker for the firm’s account. In 1993 he moved to Terre Haute, Indiana, where he served as Assistant Vice President – Investments with First Financial Bank (formerly Terre Haute First National Bank) managing the bank’s $500 million fixed-income investment portfolio as well as personal trust, retirement and institutional assets. He then became President of Sycamore Capital Corporation, where he developed and managed the company’s online investment advisory service. In 2001 he moved to Louisville to take the position with Fifth Third Bank. He has continued to live there with his wife Kathy. They have three children and one grandchild.
Doug Purdy
Business Development Director
& Senior Investment Advisor
Doug is Business Development Director and Senior Investment Advisor with MackHouse Capital which he joined in 2015. His chief responsibility is to engage with prospective clients about the advantages of our products and services. In addition, he provides personalized solutions to a varied group of individual clients of the company.
Before joining MackHouse Capital, he was with Securities America Inc. and prior to that, he was Vice President at City Securities Corporation for 23 years. He is a 1986 graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business with a BA in Finance. He has been in the Financial Services and Insurance Industry for over 35 years.
